In this area I am going to post pdf. files of some of my work. Bear in mind that these are mostly rough drafts. The stories are complete but there is a better than even chance that I have not edited them yet. As with most of my stories, I often revisit them a month or two later (or more in some cases) and rework them a bit. Sometimes this is just a little twist of phrase here and there, sometimes it is something that has a big impact on the story.
On occasion I will post work that I may have submitted but not heard back about yet. If one of the stories here gets picked up for publication, I will be pulling it from the area and it will show up, sooner or later, on the "Blatant Self-Promotion" page.
I'll try to keep cycling stories through this section so that there is regularly something to come back to. If I happen to take one down before you have a chance to read it (and you actually notice), just shoot me a message and I'll be happy to cycle it back through.
Since people are always asking , "Where do you get your ideas?", I figured I would add a little blurb along with each story about what inspired it. I'm only doing this because I like you. I like you because you have made the effort to check out my site (I mean, let's be real...I don't really know you...you could be a jackass). My pat answer for the question is that I have a little gremlin on retainer and he gives me all my ideas.
Actually, I like it when people ask me where I get my ideas although many authors do not. It gives me a chance to chat about myself and it shows that the person is interested in my stories. I can usually come up with at least a partial answer that they find acceptable. I expand on this notion a bit more in one of my blog posts entitled
Turning on the Light Bulb.
Enjoy the stories and please feel free to comment on them via the

ZOMBIE STORY (opens pdf.)
This is the first chapter/intro for an ongoing project. This is a rough draft but still pretty fun. The idea is to turn this into a graphic novel/comic series. I am writing it in a novel format and then scripting from there. Let me know what you think about it. Some positive feedback could go a long way in making it a reality. I'm working on chapter tow right now (well, not right now, obviously) and I think maybe I'll cycle all of them through here as I go. So read this one or you'll get lost.
Zombie Story Chapter Two (opens pdf.)
Here is the second installment in the Zombie story. Note, again, that this is the very rough draft. There are probably misspellings and things that might not make sense due to me fat fingered the keyboard (my fingers are actually skinny and nimble but I like the expression). Enjoy...and Merry Christmas!
