Robert Elrod finished the cover for Some Days Suck, Some Days Suck Worse. It came out great and the e-books have been re-released. I am waiting on the proof for the print copy and that should be out soon. You can check it out over on the Blatant Self-Promotion Page.
I got my first look at the artwork that will accompany my short story in an upcoming anthology. I posted that and the story on the Free Reads page.
The zombie project is moving right along. The first, rough chapter is over on the Free Reads page. I am making strides on chapter two. The "real" job is taking a bit of a twist which will require me to spend most of my week out of town for the next few months. While this sucks extreme donkey ballz, because I am going to be away from home, I suspect I will be able to get a lot of writing accomplished (because I'll have nothing else worth a fuck to do).
Hunting season was a great success. I killed many furry, defenseless, woodland creatures...and there was much rejoicing.
Finished reading the newest offering from Stephen King, 11/22/63. I enjoyed it but thought it was a bit long. Not uselessly long, but needlessly long (there is a difference). King seems to have a thing for producing books of great heft, anymore. I'm currently reading a few freebie, horror anthologies/collections on the Kindle. I'd post the names and authors but I just recently started them and don't trust myself to get either thing correct (and I'm too fucking lazy to get off my ass to go grab my Kindle and check). It's almost year's end though, so a review of 2011 books will be coming soon and they'll be in there. And if I find them worthwhile I'll be sure to post about them on Facebook and the Twitter.
The Walking Dead is back on...oh, wait...it's back off again. Normally, I would be bitching about the split season thing they have going this year but, since the aforementioned "real" job traveling is upcoming, it actually works out okay. I really enjoy watching this show with my boys and wouldn't be able to do that (and they help me decide the ZKOW). This could work out okay.
Besides the scheduling thing, I am really enjoying the series. I especially like the twists that veer off from the comic series. Keeps it interesting.
I am also enjoying the new FX offering, American Horror Story. Cable stations have some of the best stuff going. Which reminds me, Game of Thrones should be coming back soon, no?
I've got a few more projects up my sleeve, and a few things that could be available fairly soon, but I'm going to keep those under wraps for the time being. If I tell you everything it would kill my sexy, man-of-mystery mystique.
